Murder in the Cathedral by T.S Elliot

Presented by: Anglican Parish of Stirling
At: Church of the Epiphany
Epiphany Pl, Crafers

Written for the 1935 Canterbury Festival, this play details the murder of Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury on 29 December 1170. Becket had been Chancellor and fellow carouser with King Henry II, and was Henry's political appointee to the Archbishop's throne. However, to Henry's chagrin, he took the job seriously. Politics always was a rough game.
