Tick Where Applicable from Melbourne where the winners of the first Award for their show Grab a Can of Beer.
The Castanet Club, the Newcastle based comedy big band won the first of this years Advertiser best of the Fringe award.
Sydney based Quintessential Cabaret for their show 'Zen & Now'.
Sidetrack Theatre won an award for its production 'Down and Out From Under'.
The critics also gave honorable mentions to the rock cabaret group D'arc Swan for dance and actor Rob Inglis for his one man show The Lord of the Rings.
