Frank Ford was the Chair of the Focus Steering Committee in 1978. He has two fond memories of that year...
Firstly, successfully negotiating to lift the ban imposed by The Adelaide City Council on Fringe artists busking in the Mall. Ironically, the Council now hosts the Adelaide International Buskers’ Festival during the Fringe.
Secondly, My Icon Theatre Company’s production of “Don Dunstan the Dancing Years” being locked out of a hotel’s theatre venue by the publican when he got drunk!
