"This is when the Fringe went international with lots of visiting performers and companies from the growing Fringe movement across the USA and Canada, Ireland and Britain. Cheap airfares, a great reputation and lots of promotion of Adelaide across the world proved irresistible and the program was richer and more diverse than ever.
This Fringe hosted the Famous Spiegeltent on its first ever Australian visit and presented young artists along side their older, more famous peers. It was a fun celebration of independent artists worldwide, their passion and commitment to being on the Fringe."
