Lili harkens us back to the blitz-spirit era with angelic renditions of WWI/II tunes. Peppered throughout with letters home from modern conflicts, 'War Notes' also reminds us of the real families left behind. Though often touching "War Notes" is more hopeful than depressing, and Lili lightens the mood with larks and lark song.
