The sound track interprets a Sri Lanken ritual of spirit possession and cure. The image track stages a spectacle of bodies in extremis. The bodily states of narcissism, mashochism and hysteria are intimated by gesture, sound, lighting and stillness, drawing on two different cultures and theatrical traditions.
