Murras is the Pitjantjatjara word for 'Hands.' Written and Directed by Eva Johnson, MURRAS is a play based on an Aboriginal woman's struggle to preserve the spiritual and artistry of Aboriginal art. The emphasis on hands being the major tool of survival. The getting of food, childbirth, spinning and particularly weaving, sculpting and making of other artefacts. MURRAS is a statement about Aboriginal Art, Dancing, Health and Land Rights.
