12TH MODE is comprised of students from the Elder Conservatorium presenting contemporary chamber music. All works are original compositions by young Adelaide composers. Traditional forms are explored and combined with other influences such as blues and rock. The emphasis of the performance is to provide an informal cabaret atmosphere which moves art music away from the concert hall and out to a wider audience.
