CARNEVALE IN ADELAIDE

Festival / Event
Presented by: Coordinating Italian Committee
At: Rymill Park
East Tce, Adelaide

The "Carnevale in Adelaide" Festival is a pagan cocktail of traditional Italian artforms - visual, musical and theatrical. Carnevale means costumes and masks, Grand Street Parade through the city, people singing and dancing; acting and dressing up in fanciful clothes. Carnevale embraces exhibitions, shows, concerts and other activities prior to the culmination of the weekend of 14 &15 February 1998 at Rymill Park. The Carnevale weekend is a bonanza of fun, food and frolic all wrapped into 2 big days of celebrations, exhibits and the extra-ordinary; the last spree before Lent.
