The Magdalene Centre is an inner city welfare agency, serving approximately 150 destitute and homeless people each week. A collective runs a Saturday night drop-in, where at least 120 people enjoy a meal, music and other entertainment. With the assistance of ARTS SA and Adelaide City Council, they have embarked on a program to promote the musical and artistic talents of their clients. As part of this program, and to enhance the environment, it is creating a large mural in the rear laneway.
