Fibre artist and scientist Sylvia Piddington exhibits exciting, challenging and diverse free form lace weavings, painted silk creations and knotted rope. Sylvia explores contemporary ideas by experimenting, inventing and adapting techniques. She uses a variety of media from video tape and plant roots to threads from spun silk fabric off-cuts.
