JUVIE is set in a juvenile detention centre, depicting the lives of scarred, lonely, isolated, and locked up young people. Carey was responsible for a hit and run; Andy, a serial arsonist who believes that fire can "drive away the darkness"; and Jean who will do anything to get heroin.
