Kashkul is an original traditional Persian ensemble, bringing you the exotic sounds of the ancient Persia with their Instruments Tar (Lute), Kamancheh (Bowed string instrument), Oud (Lute), and Daf (frame Drum) and melodies sang divinely by Shiva. Kashkul was formed by Behnoosh (Tar player, Composer) and Shiva (Vocal) in 2001 and has performed both locally and interstate with various groups of musicians over the past 10 years. Now they are joined in performance with three great musicians. Arash Zanganeh playing Daf, Arash is one of the best Iranian percussion players who has recently moved to Australia. He has been performing in Iran and also internationally since 1997, and has been actively involved in the making of numerous great Sufi Albums working amongst the Best musicians in Iran. Adnaan Baraky playing Oud, Adnaan has studied classical and oriental music under the guidance on Russian and Syrian professors. He specialised in the Oud and has performed with the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra in different occations including at their 10th anniversary concert. After finishing his musical Degree in 2008 Adnnan moved to Adelaide where he has participated in several Music festivals and concerts. Shahriar Shams playing Kamancheh, Shahriar has been playing Violin and Kamancheh for over 30 years and has mastered the art of traditional Persian music in his instruments. He has studied the under some of the great musicians in Iran before moving to Australia in 1995.
