The Fringe goes North this year as 4 Fringe favourites bring a hilarious one-off standup comedy show packed with 2 hours of belly laughs to the Elizabeth Downs Soccer Club. Big Al who will MC the event is nothing short of a local hero. He was a national finalist in FHM magazine's Search for Australia's Funniest Man, and made fans all over Australia with his performance on that nationally distributed DVD. His infectious personality, which many will be familiar with through both his time on Fresh FM and his his live performing, will be sure to set a warm vibe to the afternoon. Ben Darsow (www.bendarsow.com) is one of Adelaide's best new comedy exports and is developing a reputation right throughout Australia's club and festival scenes for his clever standup and smooth MCing. Ben has sold out several solo shows in the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival, following on from outstanding success earlier in his career in searches for emerging talent run by Rove, Triple J and FHM. Jason Chong (www.jasonchong.com.au) was deservingly awarded the title of Adelaide Comedian of the Year in 2009. He is an incredibly multitalented performer and always blazes away with a varied and fun-filled set. Jason has sold out several uniquely themed shows in the Adelaide Fringe and has been twice rated 4 stars or above when reviewed by The Advertiser. Currently touring nationally with Il Dago, Jason also plays cleverly on his ethnic background with hilarious results. Rich Naberhood (www.richnaberhood.com.au) is an act that Elizabeth is very proud of, representing the city just as well as he takes the piss out of it! He has a wide appeal with his blokey but endearing personality and is always a fan favourite out North. Rich presented his first solo Adelaide Fringe show, Being Rich, in 2009 to sell out audiences at Sugar Nightclub in the city and a highly complimentary 4 star review from The Advertiser.
