Schmoove Operator
Comedy
Presented by:
BLOISONBERRY PRODUCTIONS
Meet Schmoo. This clown isn't very smooth and he doesn't know how to operate anything. He_x0019_ s a bit hopeless really... he doesn't say much or "physically" play any instruments. And he cries.... A lot. And there's still 32 minutes to go. A bi-polar romantic objectophiliac, His is a world of fantasy, whimsy and chaos. Schmoo struggles with the use of technology and modern contraptions as well as struggling with his impulse to throw things out windows. An innocent and naive character, the temptations of the world can get the better of him. Infatuated by various things that come into his life, Schmoo falls in love with these things, stationary objects, but whether they're stationary to him is another thing. Schmoo becomes their friend, psychotherapist and jilted lover. But there may be help around the corner in the form of the witchdoctor Oog. Schmoo, like many people, is just trying to find his place in the world. Hew Parham has studied extensively in Pochinko Clowning in Canada, a method of theatrical clowning in which through the making and wearing of masks different clown characters are created. A very physical style - with often little to no dialogue, instead the world is rendered through the body, your props and the imagination. "With only a few simple props Schmoo explores a wealth of comic ideas captivating the audience with his antics" - Glam Magazine
