These Special Events are part of C.I.T. 2011 5 exciting new workshops/masterclasses for all performers and theatre lovers- lead by renowned international CIT artists. 2/03/11 - 2pm BIOGRAPHICAL THEATRE _x0013_ HOW TO GO FROM HISTORY PAGE TO STAGE An exciting new workshop for actors, writers and directors on how to adapt, replicate and impersonate historical figures and develop past events for performance. Using C.I.T_x0019_ s incredible line-up of biographical plays as a platform - _x001C_ Adolf_x001D_ , _x001C_ I, Elizabeth_x001D_ , _x001C_ Goering_x0019_ s Defence_x001D_ and _x001C_ Mussolini _x0013_ A One Man Political Farce._x001D_ 3/03/11 - 2pm VOCAL TECHNIQUE, ACCENTS AND DIALOGUE A masterclass in vocal training for actors, comedians, performers and hecklers! Paul Slack (actor, voiceover and radio artist, performer with the RSC) will stretch and straighten your vocal chords, and guide you through the basics of Classical and Shakespearean dialogue, accents and good vocal technique. Fun and physical, learn how to twist your tongue toward the peak of performance perfection. 4/03/11 - 2pm MIME _x0013_ LANGUAGE OF THE BODY Learn the secrets of Mime from world-renowned performer Gavin Robertson. Delve into the tricks and details of a purely physical performance and develop your language elasticity. An event not to be missed _x0013_ this is a workout for the imagination and a must-have skill for all who tread the boards. 9/03/11 - 2pm PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE FOR ACTORS Guy Masterson, veteran solo artist, presents an innovative and insightful new workshop for all performers and lovers of the stage. Develop your creativity and hone your craft as Guy leads an intense 2 hour lesson on the secrets of physical acting. A fantastic opportunity to learn from the best! 10/03/11 - 2pm HOW TO PRODUCE AN EDINBURGH FRINGE SHOW An indepth workshop for performers, directors, producers and those with a passion for the stage. Oliver Award Winning Producer & Director Guy Masterson, Adelaide Producer & Actress Joanne Hartstone and their fellow CIT artists/producers will guide you through the process of presenting a show in the Edinburgh Fringe, and on the International touring circuit.
