Edinburgh Fringe smash hit full hour of confessional, character-filled stand-up. He explores his lack of drive in a show about potential and how to unrealise it. This year Jimmy has been repeatedly told he looks like Danny Dyer. He has also been thrown out of his flat; has fallen in love with a hippy and has realized he will never be any good at Halo. He did manage to go to Africa but did not have the requisite epiphany or return to start a charity. Finally he did the two most shameful things he has ever done in his life. A ruminative, cynical and often recklessly honest hour of stand-up storytelling. _x001C_ Last year I said he had "one to watch" stamped on his forehead; well, this year he has "see him now before you have to queue around the O2" stamped on his forehead. There are few comics I can think of who have the sheer star quality of Jimmy McGhie. He is the perfect little comedy package. Cute and charming, but not irritatingly so. Smart and slick but with perfectly positioned moments of vulnerability. And most of all, funny. Funny in so many ways you lose count... He is a terrific mimic and comedy actor. He is a wonderfully fresh observational comic& All of this is beautifully crafted into a perfectly formed hour of laughter._x001D_ Kate Copstick, The Scotsman _x001C_ Incredibly, brilliantly, hilariously funny, and you must see him._x001D_ Edinburgh Tonight
