Wind Energy are a group with two ambitions. The first is to play evocative and original music that showcases the beautiful sounds of wind instruments. The second is to encourage people to think about what a truly sustainable future means. The group will be performing pieces from their new CD, A Climate for Change, punctuated by the passionate environmental advocacy of composer/pianist, Kristofer Spike and complimented by a slide show that brings the music to life. Kris's music is heard regularly on ABC Classic FM and is characterised by soaring melodies and rich modal harmonies. The concert will feature the Adelaide Symphony's new principal oboist, Celia Craig, together with Lisa Osmialowski playing flute and David Rowden on clarinet. Guest artist is violinist, Maria Lindsay.
