Theatre comedy all wrapped up into one nice little package! _x001C_ Boxes forever!_x001D_ Mr McGaffery enthusiastically shouts to his not-so-enthusiastic team. You see, at Packet-Inn you_x0019_ ve got to love boxes, you have to think, see, smell, hear, taste and feel boxes. Mr McGaffery is the factory_x0019_ s supervisor and he rules with an iron hand. He_x0019_ s always passionate and yet his manner is often absurd. Zoomer, his favourite worker, follows orders with ease and without question while Derek, the _x0018_ underachiever_x0019_ finds McGaffery hard to take especially since his soul has been crushed by McGaffery_x0019_ s constant ridicule. Derek dreams of something more. Two things happen that break Derek_x0019_ s monotonous working regime. First there_x0019_ s a new female worker called Vanessa and then Derek discovers a mind travelling device which enables him to enter peoples_x0019_ minds to change their thoughts! (No biggie really) This could be Derek_x0019_ s one chance to get revenge on his supervisor and to score the girl of his dreams! However it isn_x0019_ t that easy. Mr McGaffery is also interested in Vanessa and when he discovers Derek can mind-travel, he wants the device for himself so he can convince everyone of their true love for boxes!! _x0018_ Mind Traveller_x0019_ is a satire of blue collar factory work and a creative presentation of what it is like to travel inside a person_x0019_ s mind. _x0018_ Mind Traveller_x0019_ s_x0019_ objectives are a pinch - to make theatre fun and simple. It is a simple 'Hollywoodesque' / comicbook narrative tied with an interesting contemporary device demonstrating that theatre, as a medium, can entertain new generations and get young people_x0019_ s interest. _x0018_ Mind Traveller_x0019_ shines in its simplicity, portraying humorously the mundane world of factory work and the hypocrisy and quirkiness we all have inside our own minds. Directed by local comedian Ross Vosvotekas and conceived by local ideas man and jack-of-all-trades Matthew Vecchio, it stars local AC Arts graduates Georgie Pile, Andrew Pantelis, Chris Roberts and Nathan Porteus. The cast and crew are putting all their wits to the test to create this funny new work. _x0018_ Mind Traveller_x0019_ strips theatre back to a pure form of entertainment and is accessible to a myriad of audiences. Theatre lovers will appreciate the fast flow and sense of fun of the text while new-comers will find they are at home with its familiar _x0018_ Hollywoodesque_x0019_ plot lines and satire of factory life. Starring: Georgie Pile, Andrew Pantelis, Chris Roberts, Nathan Porteus. Directed by Ross Vosvotekas. Produced by Matthew Vecchio. Written as a collaboration between cast and crew
