The Twittering Machine

Visual Art
Presented by: RIAUS AND SMALL WONDERS

'Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul - and sings the tunes without the words - and never stops at all.' Emily Dickinson. A man is perched on a bicycle with a birdcage on his head. An alarm clock rings. A bird sings... A mousetrap triggers a rickety contraption. A hammer swings, a tray flies out and four eggs drop into four glasses. Cause and effect, logical yet unbelievable, fascinating but pointless. In the style of Rube Goldberg the Twittering Machine symbolizes man's capacity for exerting maximum effort to schieve minimum results.
