Danny McGinlay - Food Dude: Recipes for Disaster
Australia's only three-Michelin-star comedian, Danny McGinlay has been pushing gastronomic boundaries on TV and radio for the past few years. You've seen him on Rove, The Circle and The Footy Show, now join your favourite laughter-chef as he brings his culinary prowess to Adelaide for the first time. In his first season as the Food Dude McGinlay had audiences belly laughing as he demonstrated his cuisine comedy; cooking lamb chops in a sideways toaster, inventing the party pie parmigiana and surprising everyone by producing a chocolate cake in a cup in three minutes, which was not only edible but delicious! This time Danny is upping the ante: Why cook with gas when you can cook with napalm? Any old chef can roast a chicken in an oven. It takes a Food Dude to do it with explosives...or jumper leads...or a car engine. Master Chef is about the destination; perfect food presented perfectly, but Food Dude is about the journey; going full throttle and having a blast with food. Take one comedian with no culinary training... "Quite possibly the funniest man in the world!" _x0013_ Hypoactive & armed with a bunch of gags... "Genius& ball-shatteringly funny." _x0013_ Inpress & and a passion for cooking (but not necessarily eating)... "Hilarious...stunning& just don't book him for a catering gig." _x0013_ The Age & and you've got a recipe for disaster. "A new breed of celebrity chef& a slick and entertaining performance" - The Age "It's a very bizarre show from a very talented man & get a free meal with your laughter!" - Life Music Media
