Shaggy DooBeats is a professional performance poet who is inspired by the world. He's quirky and after many 20 years of performing in various places he is now ready to share with others what he has learnt about life in the spoken word live jazz genre, his element. So for this years 2011 Adelaide Fringe he has teamed up with a professional jazz trio, The Jazzcateers, to showcase his work for the adoring masses. His poems come from a new self-published book, 'Readings from the little yellow book', that his manager Charles Crompton has helped release. So do yourself a favour and come check out this trip to Coolsville in the beatnik tradition. Except this time Shaggy has invented his own Bunknik style of performance poetry that is fun and unique. Can you dig it? Yes you can.
