Reviews for Mother, Wife opening night.... Rip it up Review Two highlights of many in this wonderful show stand out _x0013_ writer/composer Amity Dry shows a wisdom way beyond her years, and how natural it felt as a musical. No awkward moments in this production. The way the four women cast sing, relate and interact with each other in word and song just seems totally appropriate. The songs are great, there are lots of laughs and the balance between poignant moments of love and despair, joy and frustration strikes just the right tone that mirrors _x0018_ complicated life_x0019_ . The connection between the cast and live musicians is palpable. There is so much to like about this show. Sentimental yes, but it doesn_x0019_ t hide the fact that reality often bites. It is a female perspective on love, birth, kids and relationships, but men _x0013_ listen and learn! Highly recommended. Final Word: Fantastic! Michael Coghlan - Rip It Up The Barefoot Review 'There is a beautiful truth about this production. It is a raw look at relationships, parenthood, love and family and the audience hangs on every word. It's funny, poignant, sad and endearing and the emotions change smoothly from one to the next.' 'Writer Amity Dry has succeeded in creating these characters with a truth that transcends the comedy. Each of the women is outstanding.' 'The four women all have lovely voices and sang beautifully.' 'Overall this is a lovely production. If houses are anything like opening night you had better book now or there won't be a seat left. This endearing production is definitely worth a look.' 'A brilliant night full of laughs and tears. This is one of the best musical comedies I have seen. The music and lyrics were funny and every minute captivating to watch. Congratulations to the four stars of the show who were perfect for the parts. Thanks for adding more laugh lines on my face! Mandy' 'My friend and I went along on Friday evening to see your show and let me tell you it was fantastic.....we loved it so much!!!!! You were all great. We laughed so much, mainly at ourselves! Wonderfully written Amity, it was though someone had been looking through a window into my home and telling my life story as a Mum! Well done. You made me realise just what a great Mum I am. Cheers, Tereza' So come and see what everyone's talking about, but we quick it will sell out!
