Steve Sheehan's - A Little Horseplay
Comedy
Presented by:
STEVE SHEEHAN
What jokes would you tell if nobody was listening? From the creator of 'Stevl Shefn and His Translator Fatima' comes the beginnings of a new show that brings together a comedian, a mezzo-soprano and Arapahoe the mini-horse to look for an answer. Steve is a background comedian looking for muzak jokes that are easy listening and won't interrupt any one's evening out too much but he doesn't expect to encounter opera and mammalia as he backs out of his responsibilities. Guest starring Norma Knight - legendary Adelaide mezzo-soprano who is not your average diva, and Arapahoe - a mini horse with a wild background whose been on the straight and narrow now long enough to appreciate opera. Last year's Fringe saw Steve take out the Best Comedy award with a unique character comedy featuring Stevl Shefn and his translator Fatima and this year's offering looks just as ill-conceived and a similar celebration of the peculiar. Steve is a national Raw Comedy winner 2003 and has been performing his little comedy shows at the Adelaide Fringe since 2006. "A humane and gently weird wit" Adelaide Advertiser "A surreal inconsequentialist to whose logic you just surrender" The Guardian UK "Loopy, Woody Allen-esque riffes" Metro UK
