A new show that explores the games we play and the games we invent, immerse yourself in 'Pitch'. From games everyone grew up with, to the fun, talking to yourself in the mirror sort of games we play when we hope no-one is watching. 'Pitch' explores the lighter side of what it means to have an imagination. Pitch is chock-full of Juggling, Acrobatics, Acrobalance, Risley (Human foot juggling), Ropes, Hats, Tightwire, Hoop diving, Clowning and fun! The premiere work from brand new company TOS'T, Pitch is the result of 4 people spending three years living and breathing circus at Australia's only tertiary institution for the artform -NICA. All four graduated at the end of 2010. It was this mutual love of circus and the stage that inspired them to create a new contemporary circus company- One that blends traditional circus and clowning with new circus and theatre. Ty Fitzsimons has been involved in theatre, circus and movement for the best part of a decade. Completing courses such as Total Theatre in WA and NICA in Melbourne, he has worked professionally in theatre companies for years now. His infectious love of tumbling and excitement is a sight not to be missed. Ollie Versteegen is a performer with a love of all things clown. His background is as student and trainer of Melbourne's celebrated Westside Circus. A multitalented performer with a high and varied skill in circus and clowning, he is truly a head above the rest. Steph Lewis has grown up with the performing arts. The daughter of two professional dancers, Steph has spent her life either dancing or in the circus. She uses this blend of grace and skill to amaze, whether it's flipping on the feet of an inverse Ollie, or her hypnotic movement on the tightwire. Tom Davis has grown up in Canberra's acclaimed Warehouse Youth Circus. He spent 10 years learning to perform, and later teach, write and direct circus. Tom is a treat to watch when he performs his specialty, the quite unusual hat manipulation.
