A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and a Prayer
Theatre
Presented by:
ACORN PRODUCTIONS
1 out of every 3 women on the planet will experience violence during their lifetime. Sadly this often goes on unreported, unnoticed, in secret and the victims are silent. Join Local and international artists perform a groundbreaking collection of monologues by world-renowned authors and playwrights, including Maya Angelou and Edward Albee edited by Eve Ensler and Mollie Doyle. These diverse voices rise up in a collective roar to break open, expose, and examine the insidiousness of violence at all levels: brutality, neglect, a punch, even a put-down. This event not only raises awareness of violence against women and girls but it will raise money for local and international organisations that are working to end violence. All profits will support V-Day, a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. V-Day commits ongoing support to build movements and anti-violence networks. All performers and technicians have donated their talents and time to be part of A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and a Prayer, and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
