This is Amy and Ajit's first Fringe show as Ajitating Amy. Lifestyles of the Sikh and Twisted is a comedy show about being human, being Australian, being different, but ultimately being the same. Here you have a mid 30s, single white female teacher studying psychology, and a married Indian Sikh, engineer, father of two nearing 40. Two people who could not seem more different, are actually not that different at all. Ajit was born of Indian parents in England, moving to Australia as a teenager. Is he Indian? Is he English? Is he Australian? He feels like a coconut - brown on the outside white on the inside. Amy on the other hand& How does an army brat, with a dad married to the job and a mum suffering depression, learn about the world? Through b-grade 80s movies and fairytales of course! How does that kid then handle the slap in the face that is reality? Not very well. We all have a story, we all have the same worries, fears and frustrations _x0013_ they just come packaged differently. Take a humorous look into the lives of two very different Australians, and find out how it is ultimately being so different that has made them who they are: Ajitating Amy!
