Written and devised by Mark Rogers and Aileen Huynh for Bodysnatchers. "If this is the future of Australian theatre, I think we_x0019_ re in pretty safe hands." - Gareth Beal, Arts Hub. "There are many flights of fancy _x0013_ many minutes of self-entertainment _x0013_ many different apps and phone features featured: and thankfully there is a message." - Augusta Supple Blog. "both hilarious and deeply moving"- Weekend Notes Fresh from the 2011 Sydney Fringe with a swag of praise, Gobbledygook is a theatre work by the young company Bodysnatchers. Energetic, uncompromising and lyrical, the work is a tour de force solo performance with a crisp sense of design and glitchtastic sonic meltdowns. Gobbledygook examines the apparatuses our lives are filtered through; the mess of signal, frequency and wire. A duet for a lone woman and her iPhone, it irreverently tackles the core of contemporary anxiety: who is listening? Director: Mark Rogers Performer: Aileen Huynh Sound Design and Composition: Liam Halliwell and Jordan Thompson (The Ocean Party) Lighting: Joseph Parro Dramaturg: Sanja Simic
