"Cabaret de la Burlesque" When a 67 year old Contortionist, a Dancing Cockatoo and a Tragic Opera Queen get together, you have the makings of a most unusual show. Add to this a Sultry Songstress, plus Bevy of Burlesque Beauties and you have a recipe for success quenching the thirst of even the hungriest of thrill seekers. Returning from Las Vegas after performing at The International Contortion Convention, Christine Danton, known professionally as _x001C_ The Amazing Cristina_x001D_ directs and heads the cast of _x001C_ Cabaret de la Burlesque_x001D_ , premiering at the Fringe. Christine continues to not only amaze her audience with her incredible act, but inspires people of all ages with her remarkable abilities, reinforcing the message that anything is possible. _x001C_ Some things...and people become more wonderful with time. So it is with The Amazing Cristina._x001D_ Glen Holman ICC. Adding chichi charm and personality to the show, is Queensland's alluring burlesque super-star _x001C_ Miss BB Le Buff_x001D_ who will keep you spellbound with a mirage of feathers and hoops throughout her performances. She will also be introducing protoges from her famous _x001C_ BB Le Buff School of Performance,_x001D_ _x001C_ The Corsettes_x001D_ who will strut their stuff, teasing you with the most curious of delights as they corrupt your mind and deliciously weave their way into your heart. A new comer to the burlesque scene is sexy soubrette Tilly Browne. However, she is most certainly not new to the industry, for as well known artist and vocalist Maria Geraghty, she has done Australia proud by returning from the 15th World Championship of Performing Arts in Hollywood recently with three silver medals, also being named S.A. Karaoke Champion 2010. Tilly Browne promises to enthral you with her versatility and tempestuous renditions from both the cabaret and burlesque genre. Adding a touch of the ridiculous to the show as tragic opera queen Dame Peaches Melba, is another well known Adelaide icon Peter Potts. _x001C_ Peter Potts send up of Dame Joan Sutherland singing Waltz Aria from Gounod's Romeo and Juliet was a highlight, the operatic squiggles and squawks drawing loud applause and raucous cheers._x001D_ Adelaide Theatre Guide. _x001C_ The comedy arrived in the form of Peter Potts as the Christmas Fairy, using his falsetto to soar and dip all over the place and reduce the audience to hysterics._x001D_ The Advertiser. Flying into town after his appearances on Channel 7's Today Tonight and also Peter Goers' ABC Radio show, is Adelaide's most loved and admired bird, Georgie, The Dancing Cockatoo. He will not only delight you with his own brand of humour, but will captivate your heart as he _x001C_ shows off_x001D_ flaunting his favourite talents. Cabaret de la Burlesque is bound to amaze, amuse and astound, leaving you well satisfied and in awe at the diversity and individuality of this colourfully alluring show. _x001C_ Viva La Difference!_x001D_
