'Liar liar pants on fire' A journey into non verbal communication

Theatre
Presented by: DAVID FERRIER

This humorous, informative and factual speech indicates that we have been communicating as a species thousands of times longer through body language than we have verbally. W.A.S spells was and doesn_x0019_ t mean much until we put it into a verbal sentence, just like one gesture in isolation doesn_x0019_ t mean much and should not be interpreted in isolation until we have put them together with other gestures to form a gesture cluster or non-verbal sentence. Working out the difference between these gesture clusters and verbal sentences is one of the keys tounderstanding an individual_x0019_ s thoughts and true feelings. Be prepared to laugh, be shocked and entertained when the president of the National speakers Association hear in SA and one of Australians most dynamic and captivating body language guru_x0019_ s takes you on an adventure into how truly read yourself and others. It is actually easy it is to read your own and others body signals tell when someone is lying, telling the truth, feeling defensive or nervous and receptive by reading body language. Should we be listening to the verbal or the non-verbal? Non-verbal clues carry five times the meaning than mere words do. There_x0019_ s an open book in front of our eyes that anyone can read, non-verbal sentences.
