Nearly 50 years ago a group of passionate spinners & weavers formed a group in 1963. Our members today are still as enthusiastic about their crafts of spinning & weaving, which they continue to share through teaching and encouraging others to have a go. Spinning and weaving can be simple or as technical as you wish, exploring the depths of colour, the twists of the fibre, 2 shaft weaving to multi patterned fabrics, each with their own challenges, but all based on the beginning of the yarns, fibres used. The Guild has day groups of spinning, weaving, felting and also showcases the work of members through the Little Glory Gallery. Visit our website for more information, read our newsletters, and discover our history. Come along and view what the crafts our members create and ask them if you can feel the fibre.
