Interactive Theatre International presents: Faulty Towers The Dining Experience Having won the attention of the Adelaide Fringe Honey Pot scheme in 2008, this Brisbane-born show premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe that same year. It_x0019_ s been touring the world ever since, performing to sell out audiences and five star reviews. This is its sixth appearance at the Adelaide Fringe. This hilarious, pitch-perfect tribute to Fawlty Towers features all the best gags and a great meal. The fun starts as you wait to be seated, and it hurtles along for two hours as Sybil, Basil and Manuel run the restaurant. It_x0019_ s carefully orchestrated theatre cunningly disguised as chaos, where you, the audience, are the diners and our three heroes are your warring waiters. Of course, everything that can go wrong will, so just play along _x0013_ but please, DON_x0019_ T MENTION THE WAR! - ' a sidesplitting show... outstanding' (FringeReview, Adelaide Fringe 2011) - ' a must-see show' (Theatre People, Melbourne Comedy Festival 2011) - ' a 5-star show with a 5-star cast' (The New Current, Brighton Fringe 2011) - ' a masterpiece of comic timing that is utterly compelling' (Edinburgh Spotlight, Edinburgh Fringe 2011) ***** You_x0019_ ve got to experience The Experience to experience it! Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is a site-specific, 'total immersion' piece of interactive comedy theatre performed in a restaurant. Highly structured but loosely scripted, the actors improvise for about two-thirds of the show, relying on their huge skills in acting, impersonation and comedy to maintain the _x0018_ Fawlty Towers_x0019_ illusion. The show was created by Alison Pollard-Mansergh and Andy Foreman. Ali is the company_x0019_ s artistic director and also plays the role of Sybil; Andy plays Manuel (among other roles, in other shows). It was first staged in Brisbane and has been touring Australia and Asia since 1997. It premiered in Europe at the Edinburgh Fringe of 2008 to huge _x0013_ and continuing _x0013_ public and critical acclaim. Four teams of cast now tour the show non-stop, both at home and abroad; it appeared in 10 countries in 2011 alone. The cast for Adelaide Fringe 2012 features Karen Hamilton as Sybil, Kevin Whittle as Basil, and Andy Foreman as Manuel.
