An energetic, physical show of authentic hilarity. The product of 13 weeks of full time physical training and improvising in the art of Clown, with some mime and Shakespeare thrown in. A foul-mouthed rat-bag who likes singing, a Viking with a penchant for _x0018_ property acquisition_x0019_ , a toff with a failing for butchering the Bard, a Ukulele minstrel plagued by bizarre visions. Directed by Ira Seidenstein, this show, featuring John Latham and Jai Luke Hastrich, presents a series of comical sketches from the absurd imaginations of the performers as well as some foolish treatment of the Bard_x0019_ s words. Throw in a toe-tapping finale on the Ukulele and you_x0019_ ll leave with your giggle reflex firmly tweaked. John Latham is a Melbourne Actor with a Bachelor of Performing Arts who recently turned his hand to Improv. and Clown. Jai Luke Hastrich is a Brisbane Actor, with a BA in Acting and an MA in Arts Management, who co-founded _x001C_ ISAAC - International School for Acting and Clown_x001D_ , with Ira. Ira Seidenstein has performed, directed and coached world wide for 40 years, most notably with Cirque du Soleil and Bell Shakespeare. He coaches Clown workshops throughout Australia and Europe. "A screaming man from the rear of the auditorium runs towards the stage, suddenly he stops and makes an immediate contract with the audience with his large, round and engaging eyes and instantly, we know it's a clown. Immediately, the clown has the audience in the palm of his hand and all that is required now, is for the clown to maintain this connection with his audience. Sounds easy, doesn't it?... 'Just Clowning', directed by Ira Seidenstein, featuring the amazing talents of John Latham and Jai Luke Hastrich, make it look absolutely effortless as they deliver with precision, a theatrical buffet of entertainment. So funny are the antics, that the audience finds themselves laughing at the events on stage followed by their own spontaneous bursts of laughter. It's an amazing experience, especially in clowning to witness the audience become so moved by what they're viewing, that they find themselves reacting naturally from their own responses. This show is without doubt, a brilliant display of high vibe, interactive, fast paced, energetic tapas entertainment that leaves you wanting more." - Mark Thoedossiou, Australian Actors Network.
