Welcome To The World: A Beginner's Guide To Existence is an original solo show by up and coming Sydney Comedian James Colley. It's a hilarious and dark look into the best and worst parts of existence present through a series of open letters to his one-year-old niece about the world as he knows it and she doesn't yet. Life is filled with amazing things like love and ice cream, and terrible things like Famine and Nickelback. "Welcome to The World" is your official guide to all the most important lessons to living a full and happy life. Falling in love, falling out of love, falling out of trees, fighting off wolves, everything you need to know about existence in one hour-long guide. James has performed stand up for 5 years, starting at the absurdly young age of 16 with a bang as he was highly commended in the NSW Finals of Triple J's Raw Comedy Competition, Australia's Largest Open Mic Contest. Despite this, the bouncer wouldn't allow him a single beer. From then James has gone from strength to strength, with his first outing at the Adelaide Fringe coming off the back of a sell out season of his first play RUPERT JONES GETS TO KISS A REAL-LIFE GIRL at the Cellar Theatre (Australia's oldest continously running theatre), and and directing NASABLANCA the 2011 Sydney University Science Revue which was seen by over 2000 people, and enjoyed by almost as many. He's a regular at Project 52, Time Out Magazine's choice for Best Comedy Room in Sydney and in 2010 won the Jordan Mclellan Memorial Award for Best New Theatresports Player. You can hear James every Friday on 2SER FM's Song in an Hour Challenge or see him on Aurora TV's PETE BOONE. He's also on twitter, but everyone is so that doesn't really mean anything. "Welcome To The World: A Beginner's Guide To Existence" is James' first solo stand up show and by all accounts is definitely, technically comedy. So come along to a show which promises to be hilarious, intriguing, and down right no holds barred educational, almost. "Exceptionally spectacular." - Honi Soit _x001C_ it will give you a chance to escape the world... Like if Shakespeare wrote about Men in Black_x001D_ _x0013_ Sidney Critic "James is one of the funniest new talents to ever bribe me to say this" - Benny Davis, Axis of Awesome.
