Julian Rutt aka Jayar has a background in architecture & design, spent a long time as a DJ and club promoter and has a deep interest in exploring photography and visual arts. Taking his eye as an architect, he goes beyond the 'hero shot' or facade to reveal beauty in details, unusual angles and forgotten urban spaces. Flipping from hard lines and strongangles, through his various creative networks he has sought to capture non-professional models - friends and acquaintances alike - into shedding their clothes to express something about themselves, results varying greatly from one person to the next. People having never considered themselves models or urban pockets long forgotten and ignored now become works on a wall.
