JD & The Crabs - The 'First Reunion' Tour
Music
Presented by:
JD & THE CRABS
At:
THE PROMETHEAN
116 GROTE STREET ADELAIDE 5000
Following allegations, particularly by the band's percussionist and sometimes guitarist, "the Kid" Mark Conga Bongo Thomas, that the lead male vocalist, Jeremy "JD" Duffy, was suffering from LVS (that is, lead vocalist's syndrome, a condition leading to an inflated sense of responsibility for the band's success), a claim not disputed by Duffy, the band embarked on its first farewell tour (known as the "Farewell Like Farnham" Tour") in late 2011. At their age, this was also particularly prudent, because you never can be too sure that your last gig won't be .... well, your last gig. Finding themselves still alive and compos mentis in 2012, the Crabs (also comprising Peter "Lucky Pierre" Dossor (guitar), "The Doctor" Bill Wildman Swampy Triple M Pearce (guitar), Mel Phantom Keynes (lead female vocals), Simon Lips Tonkin (blues harp and back-up vocals) and "The President" David Deadpan Boom-Boom Thommo Thomas (bass), are back, despite popular demand, for their "First Reunion" tour. Still playing the rock, blues, swamp, jazz and pop songs they love, JD & The Crabs will remind or educate you (depending on your age) about some of the best music of our time.
