Meet the Mums Kate Burr Kate_x0019_ s been a comedian for 10 years and a Mum for 2. Her bubbly effervescent nature overflows on stage and she brings such a warm energy to the place it_x0019_ s hard not to feel better after seeing Kate perform. Since becoming a mum Kate is now the Host of Recharge Comedy Shows for Mums, which is like a mum_x0019_ s group except nursery rhymes and morning teas have been replaced with a glass of wine and a night off. Maggie originally comes from Glasgow Scotland, and despite living in South Australia since 1999, she can_x0019_ t get rid of the accent. She_x0019_ s been treading the comedy boards since 2001, a natural progression from her beginnings in theatre and musicals. Since she began her standup career she_x0019_ s co-written and co-produced an award winning comedy show _x0013_ Titters! _x0013_ for the 2007 Adelaide Fringe, and also the double-award-nominated Three Stuffed Mums _x0013_ both shows alongside Kate and Kehau. She_x0019_ s appeared in comedy dramas Pricks and Chalkies for the Fringe and has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, Glasgow, and Melbourne. Kehau_x0019_ s stand up career has seen her working as the opening act for a wide range of talents from music stars Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and Hall and Oates, to comedy favourites Fiona O_x0019_ Loughlin and George Kapiniaris, and international talents Steven Wright and Weird Al Yankovic. She has appeared on the Comedy Channel, and is a regular guest on ABC 891. Besides performing, Kehau is an experienced MC at corporate and community events both here and interstate.
