Mark was born in Melbourne in 1959, trained as a journalist at the Herald Sun, and moved to Sydney in 1982 with the huge success of his cabaret group, THE GLOBOS. He created BOB DOWNE in 1984 and has toured the world as the Prince of Polyester ever since. Bob's last production stage show, WORLD WAR BOB, premiered to acclaim at the 2009 Adelaide Cabaret Festival, with a return season at Her Majesty's last April. Bob's most recent TV appearance was hosting the 2010 SYDNEY GAY & LESBIAN MARDI GRAS PARADE broadcast for Foxtel/Arena. Since 2002, Mark Trevorrow has established a parallel career singing, acting and broadcasting as himself. He is heard regularly on ABC Local Radio and his 2004 nostalgic talkumentary series THE WAY WE WERE was a ratings winner on the national broadcaster.
