Presented by: PENNY MORRISON AND JENNI SIMPSON

Penny Morrison and Jenni Simpson are textile artists, specialising in art quilts. These, unlike more conventional patterned quilts, depict animals, plants and natural history subjects. The two artists use various techniques of quilting such as applique, fabric dyeing and painting, embroidery and machine stitching to produce works of art destined to be hung on a wall like paintings rather than used as conventional soft furnishings. Both artists have exhibited widely, and they have won national, state and regional awards for their work. Their Fringe exhibition, "Wild Colour," explores colour in nature, the emphasis being on animals and plants, mostly from Australia.
