Hundreds of artists have been involved in Pepper Street Art Centre over the past 16 years. From 26 February - 23 March 2012, the Centre is celebrating the contribution of many significant artists with an exciting exhibition. Those exhibiting in Sweet Sixteen are a collection of artists who are part of the fabric of the Centre in a number of different ways. Whether it is long standing artists from the _x0018_ early days_x0019_ of Pepper Street who are still creating today, or artists for whom Pepper Street is playing a key part in their creative journey. They are representative of the quality of life that artists and their work bring to our community in Burnside. Artists being showcased include Ron Allen, Jan Bailey, Wilma Bajka van Velze, Dorrit Black, Joanna Chorney, June Colligan, Pip Comport, John Dowie, Hans Fander, Gwenda Hackett, Marjorie Hann, Winsome Jordan, Jenny Knight, Christine McCarthy, Mary Milton, June Molan, Marjorie Molyneux, Gishka van Ree, James Raggatt, Margaret Rohde, Lyn Schubert, Yvonne Twining, Margaret Slape-Phillips, Margaret Wollaston and more. Many mediums are represented including Painting, Drawing, Ceramics, Printmaking, Textiles, Sculpture and Woodwork. A fascinating retrospective slide show of highlights of the past _x0018_ Sweet 16_x0019_ years will also be on display during this exhibition. Projected images of past exhibitions, artists, artwork, events, activities, volunteers and more will highlight the breadth and growth of Pepper Street_x0019_ s contribution to arts activity in Burnside. Sweet Sixteen will be opened by David Parkin, Mayor, City of Burnside on Sunday, 26 February at 2 pm. This free exhibition runs until Friday, 23 March 2012 and is open Tuesday _x0013_ Saturday from 12 noon _x0013_ 5 pm.
