After over 5 years as a principal soprano for Opera Australia, Ali McGregor is now one of the countries most exciting cabaret artists featuring in the hit show _x0018_ La Clique_x0019_ and her own shows _x0018_ Opera Burlesque_x0019_ , and _x0018_ The Late-Nite Variety-Nite Night_x0019_ . She has performed at some of the world_x0019_ s most prestigious festivals including Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy and Adelaide Cabaret festivals. Her most recent show 'Jazz Cigarette' has toured both internationally and throughout Australia and her popular debut CD of the same name featuring James Morrison was released to critical acclaim in 2010. In 'Alchemy' she draws on all of her influences from Opera, cabaret and trashy 80_x0019_ s pop divas for inspiration. Working alongside the finest Jazz musicians she creates unique hybrids from popular songs, standards and blues. Expect to hear unique mash-ups and genre-defying versions of Madonna, Salt 'n Pepa and Kiss like they were sung by a 40's siren in a Las Vegas club. Ali is one of this country's most versatile singers and her incredible vocal range and entertaining and emotive performance style brings a truly individual flavour to some of your most favourite songs.
