Then pucker up for the sweet taste of Hard Boiled Lolly, a hilarious confection of satire, parody and stand-up comedy from cabaret buccaneer Liesel Knievel. Lampooning the classic genres of pulp fiction and film noir, Hard Boiled Lolly has enjoyed sellout seasons in Sydney and is now heading to Adelaide to spend some time on the Fringe. The 55-minute show follows the outrageous fortunes of private investigator and asphalt jungle bunny Lolly P. Jones as she trawls the steamy flesh pots of Shanghai, the greasy truck stops of Nashville and the cutthroat kitchens of competitive baking to solve a series of brutally bent and murderously madcap mysteries. Hard Boiled Lolly is the latest offbeat offering from writer/performer Liesel Knievel whose unique style of comedy combines rapid fire cabaret showmanship with bizarre wisecracking characters to create a sensationally theatrical comedy experience. The show also features Leonie Cohen, one of Sydney_x0019_ s foremost jazz pianists and composers who has collaborated with Liesel on a diverse range of projects over the last ten years. Their work has graced such stages as the Sydney Opera House and The Famous Spiegeltent, as well as touring to Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and across South East Asia. They also perform regularly in clubs and cabaret rooms throughout Sydney as part of the Six Quick Chicks comedy collective. Liesel says the show is a bit of slap and a lot of tickle. _x001C_ Lolly P.
