THEATRE BEATING
Theatre Beating present a lunatic dramatisation of historic proportions filled with adventure and delight charting the rise and fall of this great city. Constantine, in an awesome display of humility never before dared by roman emperors, proclaims himself the chosen one of the supreme creator of the universe. Byzantium, City of Man, becomes Constantinople, City of God named after a man. Luxurious , majestic, eccentric and utterly absurd. With its premiere at the Auckland Fringe earlier this year, followed by a successful season at Edinburgh Fringe Constantinople goes where few historical fantasy slapstick comedies from New Zealand have gone before, Adelaide and The Garden of Unearthly Delights. _x001C_ Tremendous entertainment for no apparent reason with two extremely professional performances at the core.
