Dave Clark, Kate Townsend & Tony Wight welcome you to the Singing Gallery, a gracious heritage listed former Congregational Church with wonderful acoustics, just 40km south of Adelaide in the wine growing district of McLaren Vale. The Gallery inspires the performances of our trio to deliver songs of the Australian bush from Banjo Patterson to the Nullabor Plains & beyond. along with original environmental songs & sing alongs of the Tea & Damper tradition. Tony Wight, an amazing story teller, captures the essence of the Australian bush with stories of CJ Denis - "What's in a name?" the poet said, Henry Lawson & poignant & humorous originals. He contributes to the musical performance with his harmonicas & ukeleles. Between them Dave & Kate amaze with their vocal harmonies & skills on banjo, guitar, ukeleles, piano accordion, piano & concertina. The performance will be accompanied by visual footage of the Australian bush & scenes like those of the wild Franklin River of Tasmania with reminders of the protests that ensured the Gordon & Franklin Rivers Roll on wild & free. So realistic you will smell the bush & feel the camp fire burning. The trio will have you singing along & enjoying Dave's home made damper with a cup of tea. The Singing Gallery has bar facilities so you may enjoy a local wine or beer with the performance. www.singinggallery.com.au
