Dancescapes and Landscapes: Resurrecting Sin City Art, Architecture Dance, Film, Music, and Theatre collide into a fantastical journey. From Dionysus to Elvis, Ballerina to Showgirl, Roman temple to wedding chapel, fasten your seatbelts for this multimedia experimental show. Roll the dice and expect some turbulence on this trip through the sights and sounds of magical Vegas. In 2010, the UNLV Jazz Area was honored by Downbeat magazine with the title of one of the two best jazz big bands in the United States. The band responded with an excellently produced CD recording titled "Bea's Flat" that was released in September 2011. A quartet of our finest musicians from this ensemble will be featured at Paxton's fringe in the vines event with copies of the highly anticipated CD available to patrons of this event.
