The Westcare Karpandi Arts Centre has been offering arts programs and projects to the range of clients accessing welfare and other services from Baptist Care (SA) - Westcare and other local residents, since the latter part of 2005. These programs include a community arts program and an Indigenous arts and culture support program, and a writing group, as well as a number of short term projects including songwriting and recording, short film-making, murals and events. The centre gives participants an opportunity to explore their creativity, to interact with others in a safe environment and to produce work that can be seen and appreciated by a wider audience. Exhibitions are held regularly. 'Pause to Exhale' features a selection of new and older works by artists and participants who have been a part of the centre during the five years of its existence.
