Youth, growing up, celebration, friendship, conquests.” The women, the glamour, the gossip and the music. “Piano Chicks” is about the girls who sit behind the piano for a living; from Carole King and Carly Simon, Tori Amos and Sarah McLaughlin, Norah Jones and Diana Krall, Alicia Keys and more. The 90-minute (including interval) cabaret show features Becky Blake (Chunky Custard) on piano and lead vocals, weaving the tales and tunes of a dozen piano chicks with anecdotes from her own international career. Becky is supported by a dynamic band: Gary Isaacs- MD and bass (Taylor Made, Catherine Lambert) Andrew Bignell – drums (Goose, Zkye) Sandy Hosking- cello (Accoustic Juice) Paul White- Hammond organ (Lucifer’s Lounge) And members from the Brighton Secondary school choir.
