A comedy, drama and musical about the greatest comic of all time. Groucho is the story of the life and people that made up the greatest comic the world has seen. From his early days in Vaudeville to his long running radio and television show 'You Bet Your Life'. "Manahan pulls out the signature facial expressions, the physical tics and the vocal style and suddenly Groucho comes to life" - Australian Stage This will be the first Adelaide Fringe Festival production ever staged at the Capri Theatre, and Groucho is a perfect fit with this period venue. Built in the same year as the Marx Brothers movie "The Big Store" was released, and only a number of years before Groucho's radio quiz program "You Bet Your Life" first aired, the Capri Theatre encompasses everything about the era in which this comedy, drama and musical performance is set. The setting of this production in the 1940's Capri Theatre will be a special experience for the audience, including a pre-show feature played on the world class theatre pipe organ.
