If “ILLURE” was a book it would be a great ‘page turner’ with each chapter alluring audiences into a fantastic world of fiction and escape. This unique production showcases 10 fabulous performing artists including female illusionist ‘Charli’, who has recently performed throughout America, New Zealand and Asia. Vocalist Libby O’Donovan stars alongside a cast of four scintillating dancers showcasing her versatility, star quality, cabaret style and soaring vocal talent... she even manages one of the daring illusions! The show features an exciting blend of original music by Mark Ferguson and popular tunes made famous by artists as diverse as Sting, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Christina Aguilera, Grace Jones and Leonard Cohen. The band includes the talented members of “Marmalade Circus” led by Ferguson who is a musical director of note having worked with performers such as James Morrison, Doug Parkinson, Julie Anthony, Angelique Kidjo and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. The show boasts an outstanding creative team which also includes costuming by Jamie Jewell and choreography by Carla Centofanti, Angela Carr and Barbara Jayne Komazec. ILLURE features the skewered box, metamorphosis illusion, crystal box escape, revenge escape, light illusions, compelling vocals, seductive choreography, hand magic and a dash of audience interaction.
