Suzie Riley Location drawings allow reality and reflection to merge, and provide the seeds of my studio work. I am drawn to the spontaneous, organic qualities of fluid mediums, combining them with expressive gestural marks to create a variety of surface textures. Working in the realm between abstract and representation, I strive for an evocative sense of place, an emotional response to my surroundings. Jo Storen Jo has shifted focus from Italian life/ street scenes to colourful local everyday scenes in mixed media. Previous exhibitions include, Greenhill Gallery & Hughes Gallery. Susan Humphrey My inspiration for these paintings comes from memories of happy childhood holidays at the seaside, sailing in later years, my love of the sea and of art. Jen Wright I experiment with red wine, squid ink, beetroot & more recently eucalyptus resin. These squirted stains, along with various inks, executed with different size quills & brushes assist me in being less precise than previously. Glen Howlett Glenn's glasswork involves forms of glass decoration; glass powders, shards and stringers. Having grown up by the beach, Glenn is a keen fisherman and surfer and the sea's inspiration shows up in the unique fish and sea themes in his work.
